Grow Out Event
Welcome!
We are looking forward to our 4th Annual Grow Out Event! This year we have selected 35 tosai koi to participate in this year's event. They are currently in a heated pond for the winter and will be moved outdoors to their grow out pond for a 7 month grow period.
We will harvest them in October at our 2026 Grow Out Event.
Each koi is priced at $500. This does not include sales tax or shipping, if you prefer to have your koi shipped to you after the event. Optional insurance is available for $150. This guarantees a female koi and provides coverage in the event of loss while the koi is in our care.
For our returning Grow Out participants, we are offering a 10% discount!
The event is live on our website for purchase until April 30th.

I have dreamed about having a koi pond since the mid 1990’s. I imagined a pleasant waterfall, running, crystal clear water, feeding koi right out of my hand, etc. Finally in late 2023, I carefully built a perfect 2,300 gallon raised pond, got the ultimate filtering system and read and read and read. Kyle and Alyssa at Purdin Koi Farm have been the key ingredient to the joy my hobby has given me. They saw my interest, carefully taught me about the koi, helped me pick my fish and bent over backwards to help solve the problems that always arise with great solutions. The koi are beautiful! They are thriving! They are keeping a few in their Grow Out Pond another year to maximize their growth and beauty in the pristine facilities of Purdin Koi Farm.

Our Grow Out Event features a select group of high-quality koi that are measured and photographed at key stages of development to track their growth and transformation. Initial measurements are taken in the winter when the koi are about 6 months old. They are measured again in March, at 10 months old, just before entering the grow out pond, and once more at harvest in October when they are around 18 months. This process provides a unique opportunity to observe how genetics, environment, and care shape each koi over time. Want to take part?
